The territorial-style trading post, pictured above, has over 11,000 square feet. The store offers one of the largest and finest displays of Indian crafts to be seen in the area. We offer one-of-a-kind items such as Navajo, Hopi and Zuni jewelry, handmade rugs, and kachinas. We obtain our arts, crafts and artifacts directly from the Native American people by either an outright purchase, in-trade for supplies, or by items which have been pawned by the original owner that have become "dead pawn".
We have a variety of rings, bracelets, necklaces and beads all done in sterling silver, with either turquoise, coral or other precious or semi-precious stones. Our used saddle inventory has over 50 saddles that range in quality and price, from the very best to good working ranch saddles. The Turpen family has been in the trading business since 1917. We have put together a brief history of the Trading Post and the Turpen family. Please have a look. |
